Destination Wedding Packages

Let’s Consider a Destination Wedding Package

If you have found the one you love and you want to get married in a far off place, then you are looking at having a Destination Wedding. And the great thing about this is that there are a number of travel companies, cruise lines and resorts that will be able to take care of many of the wedding details if you book a Destination Wedding Package through them. As most couples won’t be able to fly their minister and photographer and wedding planner and musicians to a beautiful location like Hawaii or the Bahamas, the packages are designed to cover most of the basics.

Your package will typically arrange for an officiant, help you obtain the marriage license and other documents, provide a captivating and romantic site for your ceremony, include a cake or special confection and have a bouquet for the bride and boutonniere for the groom. The service of a destination wedding specialist to answer your questions will be included too. Often, at least a framed photograph, cake topper or scroll is included as a keepsake of the event. Some packages allow for you to have guests attend without extra cost.

Cruise weddings are a form of destination weddings but the wedding package is extra on top of the cost of the cruise. However, it’s also possible to have a destination wedding on a Florida beach, for example, where the hotel arrangements and the wedding reception are totally separate from the wedding ceremony package.

So as well as de-stressing your wedding planning, if your wedding ceremony takes place in a far-off destination, then there is a good chance that you will honeymoon at or near this location so you won’t need to pay for two expensive trips.

Destination Wedding Packages, All Inclusive

All inclusive destination wedding packages will typically include your overnight accommodations at a full-service resort, as well as the wedding ceremony and possibly a small reception. Read All Inclusive Destination Weddings for more information.

How do You Pick a Destination Wedding Package?

Well, there is no set rule on how to pick a destination wedding package. The bride and groom need to consider what criteria are important to them in choosing the location and also what is within their budget. If the couple are winter sports enthusiasts, then maybe a wedding at a ski resort is more to their liking than saying their “I do’s” in tropical beach wedding by the sea. If they want small and intimate with very few guests, then they may prefer to exchange vows at a smaller hotel than at a large resort.

So, take your time and look at lots of options before settling on the best Destination Wedding Package for you!
