What is an All inclusive Destination Wedding?
All inclusive destination weddings can really be the way to go for the couple who wants to combine their wedding with a honeymoon in the same exotic location. These wedding packages are set up so that the bride and groom don’t need to worry about the basic details of their wedding in a far away locale. Plus they have a week or so in a luxury resort suite with a heavenly view in the middle of paradise.
Details of the all-inclusive wedding package could include such items as having an officiant, hiring a wedding photographer, having a wedding dinner or breakfast, finding a wedding planner, hiring the musicians, filing the marriage documents, etc. You also don’t need to worry about the extra cost of where to stay, as the all-inclusive package may cover the cost of your luxury honeymoon suite. Or, more likely, your reservation in a resort’s luxury suite, for a minimum number of days, often covers the basic wedding package.
If you want your wedding in a faraway place, then you can leave all the details to the all-inclusive resort that is going to host your wedding and just enjoy each other’s company. Like having walks on the beach and enjoying a cool respite from the hot sun with an ice cold drink waiting for you by the pool.
Sandals Destination Resorts
Sandals is one of the most popular companies that arrange all-inclusive destination weddings at their resorts. A number of very beautiful all inclusive wedding resorts in the Caribbean that are specialists in arranging destination weddings, are of this brands.
Some of the Sandals resorts are the:
- Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, Bahamas
- Sandals Grande Antigua, Antigua
- Sandals Halcyon Beach, St. Lucia
- Sandals Royal Plantation, Ocho Rios Jamaica
Some Things Cost Extra in Your All-Inclusive Wedding
Even though the basics of a beautiful wedding ceremony at the beach or in a tropical garden are included in these packages, some things will cost the bride and groom additional money. For example your nuptials will typically be captured in at least one framed wedding portrait, but you will have to pay additional for additional photography, albums and video. If you want additional theme decor for your wedding that will often be an extra charge, too. And, there is usually a very limited number of guests that may take part in the service or celebration meals included in the package. So, count on paying extra for additional wedding guests.
Other fun amenities like a massage or other spa services, day excursions to the local attractions, water sports, etc are either included too or available as add-ons, depending on your particular package!
Remember too, that foreign countries have their own rules about the cost and waiting period for marriage licenses. This cost is generally not included in the all-inclusive package pricing.
Other Independent Resorts
There are other destination wedding resorts throughout the Caribbean, as well, that have “all-inclusive” wedding packages for couples that will be spending a honeymoon vacation at the property.
