Fair tresses man’s imperial race ensnare, And beauty draws us with a single hair - Robert Pollok.
No matter how a woman styles her hair on normal occasions, she can affect an entirely different hair style on her wedding day. She can go full length if her hair is naturally short. She can coif her hair in a french up-do when she normally wears braids.
Let’s consider possibilities for styling her hair for this very special day
How a bride wears her hair has a lot to do with her personal preferences and whether she naturally has short, medium or long hair, straight or curly hair, etc.
Even so, a bride’s hair can be shortened or lengthened (with time or extensions), curled or straightened; done in an up-do or not. However, her hairstyle is also largely cast by other factors such as whether she will have a formal evening wedding or a casual midday affair; a theme wedding or a traditional ethnic or religious wedding.
Since the above factors generally dictate the type of bridal gown to be worn, the hair style, veil and/or other adornments, such as a tiara, must naturally complement the dress. But, even with her dress chosen, she may still choose to show more hair and less tulle or keep much of her hair covered by a rich and flowing veil.
And, some brides like to remove the veil after the ceremony while some will wear her veil throughout the entire reception. This is quite a personal decision.
Since this is her wedding day, she will probably want her hair professionally done or styled by someone who is experienced in hair styling especially for wedding. In addition to hair length, consider also that the hairstyles of the bride’s attendants should complement the hairstyle she has chosen for herself, just as they have complementary gowns, shoes, colors and accessories.
