Having chocolate for weddings in all forms is a very popular trend. Wouldn’t you love to have chocolate play a big role at your special day? Here are a few wedding chocolate ideas that you can do at your own wedding without a lot of fuss:
Give Out Wedding Chocolate Favors
Along with candies and other sweets, chocolate can be really fun edible wedding favors. If you want to give chocolate wedding favors to your guests, here are some suggestions that work for both indoor and outdoor weddings. As chocolate is likely to melt in the warm summer sun, for an outdoor reception, consider M&M candies in a ribbon-tied sachet or wax lined box imprinted with your names and the wedding date. As we all know, these will not melt as easily. Another outdoor choice would be fudge. Offer small pieces of fudge, pre-cut into custom shapes with mini cookie cutters in the couple’s wedding chocolate theme. Then put a few of these into a simple theme-colored pastel box for each guest. Your guests will have a delectable treat on their ride home!

Personalize Chocolates for Weddings
There are so many ways to personalise your chocolate wedding favours! For example,

- personalize the bottom of Hershey’s Kisses or the wrappers of Hershey’s Nuggets with your names or a cute saying ( You can order these from The Knot ! )

- have milk, dark and white chocolate circles embossed with your new monogram.

A Wedding Chocolate Table or Wedding Chocolate Bars
For a chocoholic’s dream come true, consider having a Chocolate Table or Chocolate Bar at your reception. You can have a buffet for your reception meal, so why not have a wedding chocolate buffet too!
Set up a cloth covered table at some place at your reception. Place a number of different shapes, colors and sizes of glass serving dishes and glass columns to be filled with the goodies. Add some candle sticks or other accents. Put out a few small metal scoops and voila!
You will be able to offer your guests a decadent variety of nibbles and tidbits that go from personalized M&M and Hershey’s kisses and malted balls, to exquisite gourmet brownies, almond bark and gourmet chocolate wedding truffles. Consider having mouth-watering truffles filled with nougat and caramels; dark, white and milk chocolate varieties; selections with various nuts; cocoa dusted meltables. Why not have a variety of fudge cut with small cookie cutters into shapes that are meaningful for weddings or the current season (e.g. flowers, bells, hearts, doves, autumn leaves, etc.) or for the bride and groom? If you are aware of guests that are allergic to chocolate, you may offer some carob treats too!
Wedding chocolate fountains are often a focal point of the bar. Along with your host of other chocolate selections, your guests will enjoy having fresh strawberries and other fruits, pretzels, etc to dip under the warm cascading liquid.
The chocolate table may also be great to set up near the end of your reception, even if your reception meal was plated. Order a bunch of wax lined paper boxes to set out. Then the guests can fill them, themselves, to create their own chocolate wedding favors with selections of their choosing.
