Favor Your Guests with a Wedding Memory – Makuta

The favor (or favour in the UK) is a generally inexpensive item that you give to your guests as a thank you for sharing your wedding day. Wedding favors are often personalized with the names of the couple and date of the wedding though this is not necessary. A favor can be something readily consumed like chocolates or jordan almonds in decorative bags or it can be a useful memento like a corkscrew, candle or even tape measure.

Historically, lavish wedding favors were given by wealthy brides and grooms as an expression of their wealth. More recently, wedding favors have been given as a way of sharing the good luck of the bride and groom with those in attendance, regardless of the actual value of the favor or the wealth of the couple. This is how it is today.

You’ve chosen the perfect location, the dress, the food and the flowers. But what about your wedding favours for your guests to take home? We’ll give you some ideas and then point you to where you can order what you need and cross another item off your very long Wedding To Do list.
